Once back at Kelly Creek, we retraced our route along the North Fork of the Clearwater to Orgrande Creek. We then headed upriver on FR250 to Kelly Creek.Īt Kelly Creek we made the small loop trip up Kelly Creek on FR255 then Moose Creek, almost to Hoodoo Pass, then back down the Black Canyon where we followed the course of the upper North Fork of the Clearwater River. We followed FR250 along French and Orogrande Creek to the North Fork of the Clearwater. I would love to pitch one of my backpacking tents on the little sand bar and perhaps fling a dry fly are two (I usually snap off at least one), into the quiet boulder pool, just before dark and the first thing in the morning.
